They BackerKit surveys have been sent out! Please check them out, make choices for your add-ons and book covers, and complete them with payment info and addresses where needed to avoid delays! Please remember, these are not a checkout, and you will not be charged any outstanding balances immediately after hitting complete - we will push those charges at a later date (though be prepared for them!)

You will receive your PDFs through the Digital Downloads section once you are complete. If your BackerKit email isn't connected to a DTRPG account, it will create one for you and email you the details; if you have a different DTRPG account, you can merge them later. I've sent a message to BackerKit asking if there is an FAQ for this delivery method I can pass on, and am waiting for a response.

Surveys for the campaign go out in four days! We're very excited to share them with everyone - please be sure to make sure your payment information is all correct, and you've paid for your pledge before they go out! 

We wanted to take this opportunity to also note that we'll be using a new feature BackerKit is implementing this month (we believe we're the first to use it), which should allow you to claim your DTRPG codes for your PDFs and VTT files directly through your BackerKit Surveys. This should eliminate the need for secondary emails with the codes. We're excited for it to get the PDFs into your hands as quickly as possible, but since it's a new feature on BackerKit, we also wanted to encourage anyone who has trouble with it to reach out to us once the surveys go out.

If all goes well, your DTRPG codes should be delivered in your Digital Downloads section.

As BackerKit continues to collect initial pledges and we prepare everyone's BackerKit surveys, we've very excitedly begun preparing our orders for all of the physical media for this project. Hopefully, we don't jinx it, but we're looking forward to a relatively quick turnaround, as far as crowdfunded TTRPG projects go!

I wanted to quickly dip in to let you guys know what choices you'll be making in the surveys. Below are all the products that will require choices to be made - if you review them and wish to purchase them (or want extra copies, like both covers of a book for example), you'll be able to add additional add-ons during the BackerKit survey!

Below are both of the covers for the Soul of Trickery. Everyone will be able to choose which they would like to receive during the survey. The secondary cover will only be available through this campaign (and limited overflow stock might be offered at conventions and such until it's gone).

Similar to above, those receiving the Paraprismatic tempest will be able to choose between the following two covers:

If you purchased the VIP Credit add-on to have your name listed in the book as a VIP backer, you'll need to submit the name/credit you want to use. There will be certain restrictions on this to avoid hate speech and unacceptable language. The credits will be featured on the interior cover credit page.

If you purchased the Soul of Trickery notebook, you will be asked to choose between four page types: blank, lined, dotted, or graph.

If you purchased a keychain, you will need to choose which class emblem/title you'd like.

If you ordered any of the print sets, you'll have the option to choose which ones you want - if you ordered the bundle, you will receive all six.

If you ordered any of these items, you can choose which designs you'd like (the examples below aren't indicative of their relative size - the game mats are quite large).

And finally, if you purchased a Soul of Trickery Shirt, you'll need to choose which size you need (S, M, L, XL. 2XL, 3XL)

A slight timeline addendum to our previous update: at BackerKit's request, we will be sending out surveys on the 14th of August to allow for the full time for initial charges. Sorry for the delay and inconvenience!

Thank you, everyone, for your support! Our expectations for this project have been blown well out of the water, and we cannot begin to thank you enough. With the final tally coming to a close in only a few hours, we will need a few days to prepare the BackerKit Surveys for everyone, which will confirm addresses, emails, locations, taxes, etc., and allow upgrades to your tier and/or the purchase of additional add-ons!

Starting today, on the 1st, BackerKit will begin charging for your base pledges. After about a week (on the 7th-9th, we estimate), we will send out your BackerKit surveys, and once those are filled out, you will be able to claim your digital rewards (PDFs, OSTs, wallpapers, etc.). If you fill out your surveys promptly, you should have the digital rewards - including the books - by the 9th.

For Backers who got the VIP credit, it is very important that you fill out your survey - that's how we'll collect the name you want to be credited as, which will be added to the book prior to any physical release.

Since the products for this campaign are already functionally done, we will immediately begin drafting our work orders with our printers and manufacturers, and get back to you every step of the way on how that's going. Shipping for this project will be charged after the initial collection of funds, closer to when we're ready to send items out. We'll post updates here as that unfolds, so be sure emails about this project aren't being relegated to your spam folders.

Our Next Project!

Our plan is to do a BackerKit for a book like this every quarter during 2026 (and then might change to every third of a year in 2027), and this is only Q2 - Q3 and Q4 re still ahead. We estimate the next project will run in October, so keep an eye out for emails about it! Rewards and such will have a similar structure to this campaign. The next book, "The Depths of Charity," will focus on spirits, phantoms, possession, the sea, and another eidolic deity from Somnus Domina, like Luxus in this book.
